Behind The Amazing Magi is Michael Reist, who spent 25 years teaching and mentoring before returning to the magic that captivated him as a boy, when he saw his first professional magician, Doug Henning. Over the last 16 years he has performed in stadiums, arenas, cruise ships, schools, libraries and homes.
He prefers to think of himself as an entertainer who uses illusions, sleight-of-hand, puppets, balloons and story-telling, with plenty of audience interaction and laughter along the way, and squeaky clean family friendly comedy throughout. Based in Annville, Pennsylvania, he suits children's birthday parties, family gatherings, preschool and elementary school assemblies and library events — one librarian called it a truly wonderful show that amazed children and adults alike.
