Who is responsible

FindMagic Ltd operates FindMagic, an independent directory based in British Columbia, Canada, and is responsible for the personal information described here. The FindMagic Privacy Officer can be reached at [email protected]. The service is intended for people around the world, so this policy explains choices that FindMagic applies consistently even when a particular local law does not require every one of them.

This policy applies to findmagic.show, performer workspaces, emails sent by FindMagic, and information submitted to the directory. A performer, venue, ticket seller, Google, Cloudflare, YouTube, or another site reached through a link has its own privacy practices.

Information in the public directory

FindMagic publishes information relevant to discovering and booking magic: performer and act names, biographies, images, specialties, approximate service areas, official links, public videos, public show dates, venues, reviews, and booking routes. This may come from the performer, a fan, a venue or ticket seller, or a public performer, venue, social, ticketing, event, or professional source. FindMagic may infer a home city, specialty, or relationship between public facts and keeps source and review records so those decisions can be checked.

FindMagic uses this information to maintain a useful, accurate directory, help fans discover live magic, route professional enquiries, prevent duplicate or misleading listings, and make public pages understandable to search engines and assistants. Performers can claim and edit their pages, correct information, choose whether to accept enquiries, or ask for removal. FindMagic does not publish a private sign-in address. A known minor may display attributed public professional information, but the directory must not become a personal contact channel.

Information you provide

If you claim or manage a page, FindMagic stores account and verification information, profile edits, booking settings, messages to FindMagic, and a record of the Terms version accepted. Passwordless sign-in uses short-lived verification credentials and a secure session cookie. Verification may use an address associated with a performer website, a code placed on that website, or a link delivered through a public professional contact route.

If you subscribe to a city or performer, FindMagic stores the email address, subscription choices, confirmation and unsubscribe state, delivery history, and consent record needed to send and administer those messages. Confirmation links prevent another person from silently subscribing an address. You can unsubscribe from the relevant message or preference page without accepting any Terms.

If you send an enquiry, review, correction, report, reminder, removal request, or other form, FindMagic stores the fields you submit and operational records needed to deliver, moderate, answer, secure, and audit it. A booking enquiry is sent to the selected performer or their chosen booking destination. A confirmed follower address may be shared with that performer when the form clearly says so. Public reviews may display the name and text you submit.

Verification, security, and embedded services

Public forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish people from automated abuse. When offered on an open-review form, Google Identity Services can confirm the account behind a review without proving attendance or creating a FindMagic profile. FindMagic validates Google’s signed identity token and retains only a salted hash of its opaque account identifier and the confirmation method—not the token, Google email, name, picture, or an access token. Loading or using those controls also sends technical information to the provider; an email-confirmation route remains available.

Embedded performer videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced domain and are not loaded until you choose to play them. FindMagic does not receive payment-card information and does not process ticket or performer payments. Do not submit passwords, government identifiers, payment-card details, medical details, or other sensitive information through a free-text form.

Cookies and analytics

Essential first-party storage keeps a performer signed in, remembers a chosen colour theme or city, protects forms, and remembers your cookie choice. Those functions are requested by you or necessary to operate and secure the service. Blocking an essential session cookie means performer sign-in will not work; ordinary browsing remains available.

Google Analytics is optional everywhere. It does not load until you choose “Allow analytics,” and you can change that choice from the footer. When allowed, FindMagic uses it to understand aggregate use and improve the directory. Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled. FindMagic does not use analytics for targeted advertising or sell personal information.

Why FindMagic may use information

FindMagic uses information to provide a service you request, administer an account or subscription, route an enquiry, publish and moderate a contribution, keep the directory accurate, prevent abuse, comply with law, and protect people and the service. Where consent is the basis—such as optional analytics or marketing email—you may withdraw it. Public directory facts may also be handled for the legitimate purpose of operating an accurate public directory, subject to the rights and safeguards described here.

FindMagic does not sell or rent personal information. It does not use private submissions to train a FindMagic advertising profile or supply private form submissions to a general-purpose AI service. Automated tools may assist with public-source discovery, spam screening, data matching, or drafting, but material publication and account decisions remain subject to rules or human review.

Who receives information and where it is handled

FindMagic shares information only as needed with the performer or recipient you select; the public when you submit material for publication; and service providers that host the application and database, deliver email, protect forms, verify identity, show a video you request, or provide analytics you allow. Providers process information under their own terms and may handle it outside your province, state, or country, including in Canada and the United States, where lawful access rules differ.

FindMagic may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce rights, investigate abuse, protect a person, or complete a reorganisation of the service with appropriate confidentiality. It does not give a performer an unconfirmed subscriber address and does not give one performer access to another performer’s account data.

Retention and security

FindMagic keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, accountability, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Account and active-subscription records last while the relationship remains active. Expired verification credentials and security logs are limited by operational need. Enquiries, reviews, delivery records, consent evidence, public sources, and correction or removal decisions may be kept longer so FindMagic can answer a request, demonstrate what happened, and avoid republishing disproved or removed material. Backups expire on their normal rotation.

FindMagic uses access controls, encrypted network connections, hashed credentials, limited administrator access, and provider safeguards appropriate to a small public directory. No internet service can promise absolute security. Report a suspected privacy or security problem promptly to [email protected].

Your choices and rights

You may ask for access to personal information about you, correction, deletion or removal, restriction or objection, a portable copy where applicable, or withdrawal of consent. You may also unsubscribe from marketing email, decline analytics, report a listing, or ask that a performer page be removed. These routes do not require accepting the Terms. Some information may be retained or a request may be limited when necessary for security, another person’s rights, public-interest expression, a legal obligation, or a defensible record of the request.

Email [email protected] and identify the relevant page or submission. FindMagic may need to verify identity or authority before releasing private account data or changing a profile. A response will be provided within the period required by applicable law. If a concern is not resolved, you may complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the privacy regulator where you live.

Children and changes to this policy

Anyone may browse the public directory. Fan submissions are for people aged 13 or older; do not submit personal information if you are younger. A performer account must be controlled by an adult performer or an authorised adult parent, guardian, manager, or representative. If FindMagic learns that a younger child submitted personal information, it will delete or de-identify it as appropriate.

The effective date and revision identify this policy. FindMagic will post material changes here and, when appropriate, provide a prominent notice or ask account holders to review updated Terms. A privacy request always remains available even if you do not accept an updated agreement.
