Gotaishi, written 五太子 in Japanese, is a working Buddhist priest and magician whose performances connect traditional religious imagery with close-up and parlor magic. His performer-controlled shop offers original cups-and-balls instruction and a recording of his solo show Myōhō, built around Buddhist ideas, audience participation, cards and visual magic. Current local reporting documents a 2025 family prayer-and-magic event, confirming continued public performance before his 2025 Fool Us appearance.
