Raised on Maui and one of Hawaii's foremost experts in sleight-of-hand magic, David Kuraya headlines a weekly show at the Royal Lahaina Resort & Bungalows and has performed at the world-famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, The ProArts Playhouse on Maui and Warren & Annabelle's Magic Theater in Lahaina.
His act balances razor-sharp sleight of hand with clean, laugh-out-loud comedy and genuine audience interaction, all of it family-friendly. Close-up shows seat a dozen to twenty-five guests around him; stand-up sets have filled everything from forty-seat clubs to auditoriums of a thousand, making him a natural fit for company parties and special events. A former band teacher of twelve years, he is also the author of Ginóskó: Tricks & Collected Wisdom from a Magician & His Mentors.
