Award-winning magician David Calamari is a multidisciplinary artist whose passion is in creating live theatrical experiences — a writer/performer, magician, and scenic artist/designer based in New York.
His fascination with sleight-of-hand magic began at the age of three, when his uncle made a coin disappear in front of him; ever since, he has set out to give others that same feeling of astonishment. That theatrical instinct is fed by the rest of his working life: David builds and paints scenery for productions on and off Broadway, as well as for television, haunted houses and escape rooms, after graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in design and technical production. Each summer he raises money for cancer research in Swim Across America's Long Island Sound 5K swim.
