Walter King Jr., known as The Spellbinder, is the first African American illusionist to perform in Las Vegas and Atlantic City, and the first to fuse Hip-Hop dance, music and theater with the visual art of illusion and magic. Self-taught and raised on the Westside of Chicago, he has performed for nearly four decades across the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean Islands, and in the late 2000s was named one of the "Great Performers of Illinois" by the Illinois Arts Council.
His best-known piece floats a woman in mid-air, and his stage work has been seen at the Chicago Magic Lounge, Magic Castle Hollywood and the Mirage in Las Vegas, with viral clips passing 80 million views. A large-scale illusion show for galas, theatres and company celebrations.
