Rick Mearns is a close-up magician based in Vancouver, British Columbia, known for card magic and visual sleight of hand.
For over 40 years, Rick Mearns has specialized in interactive close-up magic — the kind performed inches from the guests, where a borrowed ring or a shuffled deck turns a room full of strangers into one shared conversation. His roving sets are built for receptions, cocktail parties, gala events and social gatherings where guest interaction matters, and they leave behind more laughter, more talk and a steady run of guests still asking how the heck he did it.
Rick performs at corporate receptions, gala events, weddings, dry grads and private celebrations across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, and works regularly as a restaurant and pub magician. Away from events, he is a sought-after magic consultant and hand-double for film and television productions.
