Patrick Holcombe

Patrick Holcombe performs close-up magic — the most intimate style there is — and parlor magic, as in someone az’s home or on a small stage. Seemingly mundane items like cards, coins and bits of string take on an entire new life in his hands, with one deck of cards two feet away and in plain sight.

The appeal is sociable as much as it is astonishing: Patrick gets guests interacting with each other, which is just what every good party hopes to encourage. One group watching him work found his movements sure and quick, his results drawing continued gasps and laughter. Cocktail hours, private parties, hospitality suites, employee picnics, grad nights and corporate events are all natural settings for this Phoenix magician.
