Biography
Markus Teubert is a magician from Leipzig whose close-up and stage work pairs baffling sleight of hand with quick-witted humour, and does it without mirrors, trapdoors or camera tricks.
At the tables every guest gets a private performance: a borrowed ring turns somersaults, money appears inside a tightly closed hand, secret thoughts are read aloud. His stand-up show draws up to 60 people close enough to build a "witches' cauldron" atmosphere, with mind reading, improbable coincidences and a round of gambling for a 50-euro note. He has played every size of event, from an exclusive booking for five guests to a Harley Davidson appearing in front of 2,000, and also leads a magic workshop. Company galas, conferences, weddings and birthdays all suit.
