Lin Lu-Chieh

Award-winning contemporary theatre artist and magician Lin Lu-Chieh treats magic as a conceptual language that transcends spectacle, in dialogue with history, society and daily life. Artistic Director of Lu Production and a member of The Magic Circle in London, he is based in Taipei, where he also lectures at the University of Taipei.

His solo theatre works interweave illusion design, narrative structure and personal memory, moving beyond traditional stages into streets, alternative venues and screen-based media. Dazed and Confused received critical acclaim at the 2025 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and has toured more than 50 performances across Taiwan, the UK and Czechia. In 2026 he became the first Taiwanese performer in the 74-year history of the Blackpool Magic Convention to present a full one-man show.
