Lanny Kibbey

Lanny Kibbey started practicing magic at the age of 8 and turned professional soon after high school, becoming one of the House Magicians at the magic-themed night club Magic Island, where he performed over 30,000 shows during the 18 years he was there.

With 40 years of experience, Lanny builds a 45-minute show of audience participation and age-appropriate comedy — jokes that resonate with the adults while the youngest guests laugh along. Larger packages add live animals, with a white dove that turns into a white bunny the children can pet, or a 20-minute magic class that sends every child home with a goodie bag of tricks. He now performs several nights a week at his own Magic Show Theater in Houston, and tailors close-up, comedy or stage illusions to the age and size of the audience.
