Kamel le Magicien

Named Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres in October 2025 by Culture Minister Rachida Dati, Kamel le Magicien moves easily between close-up, grand illusion and mentalism, with a streak of humour that is all his own.

A self-taught magician who learned his first tricks from books in his school library at eleven, he became the French reference for street magic and a fixture on television: Les Agités Du Bocal on France 4, more than three seasons of Le Grand Journal on Canal + alongside Michel Denisot, and his own street magic programme on Canal + from 2010 until 2013. He has astonished Meryl Streep, Jackie Chan, Jennifer Lopez, Justin Timberlake and Daniel Radcliffe, and his shows turn on invention, improvisation and constant interaction with the audience.
