Judah Mantell is the mentalist behind Oracle, an off-Broadway evening of mindreading, tarot and telepathy. Rather than run to a fixed script, the show is shaped by the thoughts and questions in the room, so no two performances unfold in quite the same way.
Cards are turned, thoughts are named and the questions guests bring with them find their way into the evening — an intimate, conversational kind of magic that rewards close attention rather than spectacle. It plays best in theatres and smaller rooms where an audience can lean in, and carries the same quiet strangeness to galas, private celebrations and company gatherings after dinner.
