Magician, improv musician and emcee, John Sturk covers all three roles across a single event, moving between magic, music invented in the moment and the steady hand of a host at the microphone.
Comedy is the thread running through it. Sturk has wanted to perform since he was a kid — in third grade he wrote a class essay about wanting to be a comedian — and that instinct shapes the way he works a room, whether guiding guests through the running order as emcee or turning a piece of magic into a shared joke. Billed as Chicago's top magician, improv musician and emcee, he suits weddings, galas and company parties where one performer is asked to carry several parts of the night.
