John Bendewald

Magic John Bendewald is a close-up magician based in Los Angeles and a regular performer at Black Rabbit Rose, MainRó and The Magic Castle. Close-up magic and sleight of hand have been his specialty since the age of 12, and across more than 15 years of performing he has built an act praised for expert-level sleight of hand and for the comedy and storytelling that carry it.

The magic happens inches from the guests, personalised to the event and audience, and he has brought it to hundreds of corporate parties, weddings, nonprofit fundraisers, variety shows, music festivals and holiday parties. In 2015 he created 1000 Miles For Humanity, riding over 1000 miles and performing 12 custom shows to raise more than $7000 for Habitat For Humanity, work recognised with a Habitat Hero award.
