David SY has been drawn to magic since early childhood, growing up beside Mayette Magie moderne, the oldest magic shop in the world, a window he passed on the way home from school when he was barely four. A specialist in mentalism and close-up, he pairs that lifelong obsession with real theatrical training: three years at the national conservatory of dramatic art with Jean Perimony, and physical expression with Jean Claude Cotillard, father of Marion Cotillard and pedagogical director of the École Supérieure d'Art Dramatique de Paris.
He gave his first shows in Paris, and now performs for major companies and event agencies, theme parks, private clients and celebrities, as well as for town halls and in theatres — magic that works just as well a few centimetres from a guest as it does on a stage.
