David Roth was an American close-up magician, author and teacher whose technical and creative work transformed modern coin magic. His archived official biography documents foundational routines, contributions to Coinmagic and David Roth’s Expert Coin Magic, two Magic Castle Magician of the Year awards and a lifetime Creative Fellowship. Conjuring Arts Research Center, where he served as a master and team member, published an in-memoriam tribute in 2021. Roth’s Fool Us appearance remains an important performance record, but the profile must be marked deceased and unavailable for bookings.
