Biography
Magician David Parr fooled Penn & Teller on Fool Us, taking home the coveted trophy and a guest spot in the duo's live show in Las Vegas. He created and starred in Chicago's longest-running weekly magic show, chosen by the Travel Channel as one of the top nine magic shows in the nation.
His David Parr's Cabinet of Curiosities completed a yearlong run at the Chicago Magic Lounge and then a US tour, and in 2024 he returned to the same theater with Magical Thinking for a three-month artist residency that drew rave reviews from theater critics. Among magicians, David is best known for his theatrical performing style and for his writing: several highly regarded books, plus work as columnist and editor at the world's top magic journal. His shows are curious excursions into magic and mystery, myth and history.
