Close-up magician Ava Beaux has built ten years of professional work on a simple idea: the magic belongs to the guests rather than to the performer. Her credits include The BAFTA nominees party, The London Bierfest, Chesterton's Polo in the Park and The Card and Payment Awards, alongside late-night cabaret shows at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
The sleight-of-hand happens inches from the guests, and Ava learns names and weaves family members into the routines, leaving a talking point that keeps conversation flowing. She works comfortably across corporate functions, anniversary parties and milestone birthdays, and at weddings she entertains adults and children alike while the bridal couple greet guests and have photographs taken, finishing with a personalised trick for the couple to keep.
